Do You Fango?

With Mother's Day just around the corner, I thought I'd talk about my mum's favourite. Borghese!

Oh, how I miss the Borghese rep back at the San Francisco Bloomingdale's. She was able to get so many of us hooked on her products, especially the Fango. With one look at my skin, she could tell if I haven't been using it regularly. The Fango is a great mud mask for some at home spa treatment.

Here is my Fango. Mine came part of a set, so no fancy glass jar. You can get a large fancy glass jar at Bloomingdale's for $66. A bit of a splurge, but even the Mr. notices that my skin looks better afterwards.

Here's my gob of green goo. Its packed full of minerals that pull out impurities from the skin.

Plop it on the skin generously. I even got a little in my hair. That's OK, it easily washes off.

Here's some of my other Borghese faves. Tono is a great lightweight body lotion ($37.50 for 8.4oz.) and Botanico are fun eye pads that help alleviate my tired eyes ($19 for 60).

The Big "O" from Nars

I will admit that I do love almost everything from NARS, and that includes the Orgasm collection. For my second attempt at a blog entry I tried to focus around using all of it. I even tried doing my nails again, without much luck. NARS Orgasm pieces include an Illuminator ($30), a Mutiple ($39), a Lip Gloss ($24), a Blush ($28), and a Nail Polish ($18).

I even went without foundation for this. I used quite a bit of concealer though and then added the NARS Illuminator. It ends up really pink on my skin, so I think I should try out Copacabana or stick with my Bobbi Brown Shimmer Bricks. I will still use it for touch ups and when I need to even out my complexion.

I then played around with the Multiple. When using it on my cheeks I have to make sure to blend it well. I could have done a better job of doing so just under my cheek. I tried to use it on my eyes and lips, but I'm not quite sold. For me, it is a little too dry for my lips. Sides, I have the Lip Gloss for that.

Traces of the multiple can be seen just above the Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Cream Shadow.

This is my first time doing swatches. Next time I will try and use natural light.

Since I couldn't fit the Orgasm blush on my swatching arm, I though I would add some Super Orgasm, which is regular Orgasm with sparkle.

Here is another terrible try at painting my nails, but I like how light and peachy the Nail Polish is.

Maitai says "Meow" which seems pretty close to "Ciao"

Look! I made me a blog.

So, obviously this is my first blog. I guess I can give a little history. I am a self diagnosed shopaholic and recently took a pretty large leap to move up North from California to Washington state. This, unfortunately cut my shopping budget, even if I do work in retail. What is a girl left to do? Well, buy something less expensive that DVF wrap dresses and Ferragamo peep-toe pumps. I can't go wrong with make up!

I've been reading up on a lot of make up blogs to learn all the tips and tricks, so I thought nothing of starting my own blog. That is until I met the right piece that I just had to tell the world about.

I know everyone is already excited about the Guerlain Terra Azzurra Terracotta Collection that is just coming out in stores and available online at Nordstrom's. It's the one with the awesome Emilio Pucci print. Unfortunately it has not arrived where I work, but I did get a sneak peak when visiting the flagship Nordstrom in Seattle. I picked up the nail lacquer in Riviera ($22) for starters since I have the main pieces already presold at Neiman Marcus. It's so amazing I had to write a blog about it.

He're this little guy in all his glory.

This is a DVF sweater I have from resort '08 and as soon my mum saw the Terra Azzurra Terracotta collection her first thought was to match these two together. Good call, Mum. I also apologize for my lack of nail application skills.

He're my wonderful mess, Star Trek Voyager (yup, I'm also a nerd), and another angle of how sapphire blue it comes out in the light. I can't wait until I can get my hands on the rest of the collection.
